SEC baseball scores, records after March 4 games

No. 2 Tennessee (10-2) defeated Gonzaga, 7-2, Saturday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Saturday’s victory clinched a series win for Tennessee versus Gonzaga. The Vols have won 10 consecutive games this season.

Chase Burns started and pitched 6.1 innings for Tennessee on Saturday. He recorded eight strikeouts against 25 batters, totaling 86 pitches and 64 strikes.

Kirby Connell (1-0) earned the win.

Tennessee defeated the Bulldogs, 8-2, Friday in the series opener.

Sunday’s series finale between the Vols and Bulldogs is slated for 1 p.m. EST and can be watched on SEC Network+. Roger Hoover (play-by-play) and Cody Hawn (analyst) will be on the call.
