This transfer is seen across the nation as a great one, one which clearly has an influence on Notre Dame. The Irish, together with the Buckeyes and a handful of different colleges have a nationwide model and recruit that manner. The Midwest powers rosters every have gamers from all throughout the nation, typically pitting towards one another in these recruiting battles.

The hiring of Grant might be seen as a bonus for the Irish, as he must set up relationships with a brand new set of recruits. Western Kentucky, his outdated employer, doesn’t recruit on the similar stage as OSU, so Grant goes to need to make new impressions.

Marcus Freeman could be the “new” head coach for the Irish, however his Midwestern roots together with being on the workers for a season prior give him and his workers, who for essentially the most half stayed with him, a leg up. Sure, Ohio State has been the most effective recruiting colleges within the nation, however Notre Dame must benefit from any chink within the Buckeyes recruiting armor.
