Georgia football defensive line coach Tray Scott’s pay has gone up for the second time this offseason.
Scott received a $45,000 pay increase that took effect Feb. 27 and another for $200,000 that kicked in on April 1 that brings his compensation to $1 million annually, according to information obtained Thursday by the Athens Banner-Herald in an open records request.
That’s the same pay as offensive coordinator Mike Bobo, which trails only the $1.9 million for defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann. Bobo also is to receive a $300,000 annual buyout from Auburn this year.

Scott, entering his seventh season on coach Kirby Smart’s staff, is now among the top 10 paid position coaches nationally. He was paid $755,000 last season.
Ohio State defensive line coach Larry Johnson is paid $1.17 million a year, one of three Buckeye assistant coaches making at least $1 million. Texas defensive line coach Bo Davis also is paid $1 million.
Kentucky pays tight ends coach Vince Marrow, its recruiting coordinator, $1.1 million. Texas tight ends coach/special teams coordinator Jeff Banks makes $1.05 million.

Scott recruited and helped develop three first-round draft picks last year in Travon Walker, Jordan Davis and Devonte Wyatt and defensive tackle Jalen Carter was expected to be a first-round pick Thursday night in the NFL draft.
Georgia paid former offensive line coaches Sam Pittman and Matt Luke $900,000 each. Tight ends coach Todd Hartley and running backs coach Dell McGee got pay boosts this offseason to bring their pay to $850,000 each.
The total pay for Georgia’s 10 on-field assistant coaches after Scott’s raise totals $9.205 million.
